Radium(Ra) is a highly radioactive metal from the periodic table, containing the atomic number 88. it's a silver element that normally does not appear in nature. Radium is mostly found in the disinegration of uranium and thorium.

Radium is commonly known for it's intense radioactivity and it's ability to emit a blue glow in the dark. It was found in 1898 by Marie and Pierre Curie when they observed that radium's radioactivity was 4 or 5 times greater than uranium.
